The Bristol Knitivist's are a group of very talented knitters that have come together to create a knitted urban green landscape just outside the great, everything arty and crafty shop, Paper Village. All the knitted pieces have been lovingly made by Bedminster and Southville locals (oh and a knitivist friend who sent something in the post!) for the Southbank Arts Trial. Thanks to V for organising it all and getting us all together. One of the crew is brilliant yarn bomber Twee as volk who made two of the bike rack covers with frills bobbles and all. We will soon be planning our next knitting take over so watch this space.....
Sass Fee is a beautiful skiing resort in Switzerland. With some spare blue chunky yarn and a pair of bamboo needles I was ready and armed with the tools to make Podknit's first yarn storm in Switzerland. I love the red railing on this bridge and the view is amazing. Home now so need to find some green yarn and make, make and more making for a secret North Street adventure!
3 more pieces have been lovingly made and places on the bridge since my last walk into town. The question is who created them? The knitted sign must have been very hard to put in place, what a great idea.
My St agnes post cosy is still there after sometime. Its looking a bit sad but I enjoyed it's weather worn and sun bleached qualities. I'm thinking my next Cornwall adventure should include a few pebble cosies or something a bit more surprising.
